Meeting and interacting with Chinese camp counsellors, as well as interacting with young Chinese students. They were all extremely friendly and made the experience more fine than I could have imagined beforehand.

Trying to speak Chinese with the children and participating in outdoor activities with them was a blast. I was consistently pushed out of my comfort zone to dance, sing, and interact with kids which I loved.

I appreciate the feeling of being uncomfortable more than I did before the camp. Also, the program showed me the pure joy that can come from working with kids that I might not be able to find with adults.

GOTOCO was helpful in facilitating this amazing experience. The visa process is complicated and getting to China could be confusing without professional assistance. Teaching English is a good ticket to experience this side of the world.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at the camp. The staff, counsellors, and students were very open and welcoming. The other English teacher was great, and the environment was beautiful. 10/10.
