I enjoyed meeting new people and making friends. Being at Dahuwai School was fun as we were able to take part in various outdoor activities. I also enjoyed interacting with the children and helping them learn English.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

I really enjoyed the rock climbing activity. We had a trip to the rice fields which was one of the best days in Yangshuo.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

The experience has given me an insight into Chinese culture, it has allowed me to learn basic Mandarin and most of all given me relevant experience to aid me in my future career as a teacher.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

Being given the opportunity to teach a range of ages with a range of abilities.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Yes, because I had an amazing time as well as achieving all of the above mentioned.
