Simran Chima joined our project at Guangwei Foreign International School in Zhaoqing in the summer of 2017. Please read on to view his feedback:

Could you please tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

Teaching all the younger kids. Making new friends. Learning more about the culture. I was also really interested in the food.

Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?

Probably the outdoor exercises. The kids were full of energy and loved anything I told them to do. Also, I enjoyed my visit to Dinghu mountain, it was very picturesque.

How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?

Made me more confident to travel alone. I learnt more chinese while I was there and it has encouraged me to learn more of it when I got back home.

What was the best thing about your experience in China?

The people I met there were absolutely awesome.

Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?

Probably, to get an experience of another culture which is totally different to the UK.
