We offer an introduction to teaching on summer camps around Europe.
Apply for our Europe summer camps and you could spend your summer gaining teaching experience in one of these locations..
We want to make teaching and travel more accessible, so we arrange funding for all our programmes. For our programmes in Europe, you have two funding options as described on this FAQ.
For Europe, this means you can either do our crash course TEFL with funding from your university or our TESOL primer route. Both include funding for meals, accommodation and cultural activities. You can learn more about the difference between each programme type on this FAQ.

Interrailing allows you to traverse the continent on your way to and from your summer camp. Turn your summer work experience into a real adventure.
And if you are complete the TESOL Primer or TESOL Direct Access funding pathways, you will be reimbursed up to £250 towards your Interrail ticket: this will buy you a pass that lets you travel for 10 days over two months.
If you are on your university funding and meet your university’s widening participation criteria, then you will also receive funding towards your travel.
Please apply at least four weeks before an intake start date. Places filled on a rolling basis.
To apply you need to:
There is extra support available for applicants from widening participation backgrounds, including all funding you may need to make this happen. You will be able to indicate if this applies to you on your application form.
*We are keen to welcome candidates with ‘non-traditional’ educational backgrounds (e.g. university isn’t required).
**If you do not have the right to work in the UK, you won’t be eligible for our funding and so we cannot welcome you onto this programme. If this is you, please email us and we would strive to offer something or at least give advice about other opportunities.
On the appropriate programme pages (you can find them in our site navigation bar), you can apply for the specific programmes and dates that interest you.
We will then speak with our partners across Europe and invite you to interview with the right camp for you. Some camps will require you to complete a pre-interview task as well to help them to get to know you better.
Please note that team selection is a competitive process with our European partners and selections are made based on a range of factors, including a balance of skills and experience within a team. This means that your first choice cannot be guaranteed, but we will work with our partners to match you to one of your top five choices, and all of our camps will provide you with valuable teaching experience, the chance to backpack across Europe, and the opportunity to immerse yourself in a local culture.
Places are filled on a rolling basis so the sooner you make your selection, the better!
