Please can you tell us about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?
I had the opportunity to go to several beautiful temples, and also to Qinyuan Mountain, and also to breathtaking parks in Quanzhou! And the end of the trip, I went to Shanghai for 48 hours and fell in love with the city!
Which were the highlights of the lessons, cultural excursions and outdoor activities?
AnyTeach had something called activities, in which children came to try a sport, an artistic workshop, or cook, and learned some English vocabulary related to it. Most of them were fun and my inner child really enjoyed them, but the best ones were the day trips, like the one to the Town of Roses.
How would you say the overall experience has benefited you?
I loved discovering China, and I would say this was one of my best experiences so far!
What was the best thing about your experience in China?
Personally I found the most enjoyable part of this experience was to see how quickly I made friends, grew new habits, and actually ended up feeling like home in Quanzhou. I had expected a big culture shock, but it was quite the opposite for me: I made several good Chinese friends, loved the food, and even found a good coffee shop – the only Western thing I can’t give up on!
Would you recommend participating to a friend and if so why?
I already did recommend it to my friends but most of them say China is far away and too different, but it is precisely to overcome this kind of unjustified fears that I would recommend the experience to everyone!
