I would recommend Gotoco to a friend as I believe that it is a really amazing opportunity that can help them to advance themselves educationally, career wise, morally and also socially. It provides so many positive experiences that go beyond just visiting China and ones that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

One of the most enjoyable moments of my trip was when I went swimming and to KTV with another one of my friends host families as my host sister was busy with sudden zither lessons on this evening. It allowed me to get to know some of the other children well as well as learn how to swim which is something that I struggled to grasp in previous years. Another memorable moment would be the trip that us Gotoco participants did to Gulangyu island with the Chinese volunteers during the first week as it really helped us to see one of the best bits of Xiamen and build an unforgettable found with our Chinese volunteers. Finally, another exactly enjoying moment for me would be going on trips with the other school children as I got a nice feel for what it would be like to be a teacher assisting students on trips and spending time with them outside the classroom which was nice for all us as it allowed us all to destress from the intensity of learning and teaching English.
