From 31st August 2024 onwards, our funding will have run out. This means you will need to fund your flights on all programmes (unless we clearly email you to say otherwise.) You will also need to self-fund your TEFL training and support by paying a fixed fee of £1,500 per programme (regardless of duration).

There are four funding routes for our programmes which you can read about on this FAQ.
Applicants from widening participation backgrounds are prioritised for our TESOL Primer and Direct Access programmes with full flight funding.
Everyone is eligible for a funded route, but you may need to fund your own flights and select costs if you do not meet criteria for TESOL Primer or Direct Access. Our programmes are competitive and the exact funding route you qualify for will be determined through the application and programme selection process.

What we provide

Funded/Free service! Free means we refuse to charge participants any direct fees upfront, instead we ensure funding for programmes is arranged via universities, government grants or local hosts -

What you need to fund

Pre-departure immunisation costs and general travel insurance -
Background and criminal records check (e.g basic DBS £18 for UK applicants) -
Refundable deposit, returned to you upon successful completion of your programme requirements. We ask for £100 when you are invited to join our programme, with another £100 once your exact placement is confirmed -
Personal spending for extra meals/drinks/travel during your trip; see estimated costs for these in our FAQs: www.go-to.co/faqs -
Visa costs if you don't meet widening participation criteria -
Medical insurance (if you are not on funding routes 3 or 4) -
If you come from a UK Widening Participation background and join our funding routes 3 or 4, the first two items above are also funded.

Here at Gotoco, we don’t believe in charging students upfront fees to travel and join fun, engaging projects. We provide all of our support and platform to you for free and offer lots of funded benefits to make sure you can get the most out of your trip. Free means that we only offer programmes that have upfront costs to cover when we have pre-arranged funding via university, government or local partner grants.
