Can you tell me about some of your most enjoyable moments of the trip?

Working as a teacher at Dahuwai Great Outdoor School this Summer has been one of the most rewarding experiences in past memory. Being in China for 6 weeks has taught me a lot about the Chinese culture, the differences between the East and the West, as well as the similarities. Teaching has been immensely fun, since the children are so fun to work with, are really receptive to the teaching and are truly grateful for the chance to practise English. Alongside teaching, this Summer we participated in talent shows, singing competitions, cooking classes and many water fights! I built great friendships with student teachers I met as well as the Chinese staff and students, and hope to stay in contact with them. I recommend anyone with the chance to join the team at Dahuwai to do so, it really was a life experience!
